Beyti was inspired by a simple memory of love. While showing my rose garden to my parents on video, I explained how I planned to make use of the exquisite fragrance of the roses by trying some rose jam recipes. My dad immediately started recounting his vivid childhood memories in Egypt and told me the story of his mother's delicious rose jam. He remembered the huge burlap bags full of rose petals, how he and his sisters would play with the rose petals behind his mother's back and the intense whiff of roses and rose jam aromas filling the whole house every rose season.
This was all it took to revive a cherished, time-honored family tradition of rose jam creations. Hence the name, BEYTI, it means homemade or my home in Arabic.
